St Kilda

Welcome to St Kilda! It's a lovely place to be on a fine day. Blue seas and blue skies. The pictures just don't do justice to the real thing.

I dropped by pony where kevin (brokenscar) was playing yesterday and caught this awesome Aussie band called Ashley's Affair. Love their songs! Got a free demo from them as well.

Anyway, update will be rare i guess, since i'm planning to head over the great ocean road on monday. Think i'm falling sick too. It's really cold and it was 2 degree this morning. For once i experienced vapour from my mouth. :D

Gotta get some rest. Night guys!

Good Morning Melbourne

I'm currently in Melbourne. Have been in Perth for 2 days and here for couple of days and i must say that i don't wanna go back Malaysia anymore. Everything here is so nice. I love the weather here. It's chilly but it's nice. Here i get to wear more than 1 top. Back home i felt like wearing none.

Perth domestic airport

Southern Cross Station

Elizabeth St

It's almost the end of autumn so you can see the leaves falling and the colours splendid.

Transportation is easy here. Just get a weekly ticket if you're here long enough and start hopping on and off the trams, trains and buses. So far i've only went around central melbourne. Planning to go St Kilda's tomorrow and probably check out Brokenscar's gig in Pony's tomorrow night.

Queen Victoria Market

State Library

Stumbled across this place called DFO (Direct Factory Outlet) today. This place is DANGEROUS! Stuff's here is cheap and you really have to pull yourself out from here before your wallet has a hole growing on 'em.

Catch ya later mate!

Cards

Having been away from the country, i realized one thing. You need a credit card when you travel overseas. Well, it's not that it's a must. I mean, if you have an inexhaustible supply of monetary notes then by all means just take your money and change them at the money changer. If not then your best bet would be credit cards. It makes like easier when using, not when paying.

If i didn't have a credit card here, i wouldn't be able to divide my spending and not to forget i can withdraw from the ATM here as well. Of course you need to be wary of what you spend on. Sometimes you forget that you're using money just swiping it. You don't want to spend the rest of the months later on eating grass.

So if you're planning to get a credit card, find one that suits your needs. You need to search through credit card offers everywhere to find the best one for you. Well, there are sites that helps you with that. They compare credit cards by different companies and you can see which one looks better with your name on it. But as usual, just be careful of your spending habit. You really don't want your debt to pile up. Or you could make use of a debit card. :D

Cash Advance

It's almost end of the month and most people's wallet are rather 'light'. What do you do in these situation? In desperate times, our needs need to be met. If you don't even have enough for a meal, you are in for a difficult time. Crimes probably comes from an unmet need and most of them involves money.

But now, we have many services that offer cash advance. Cash advance is a service that helps people who have financial problem. They provide short term solution for them financially and they can from there start to build their way towards a debt free life. Instead of banks, you can now get bad credit cash advance from various cash advance companies. It's easy since all you have to do is fill up the form online. Then you'll get your loan approval shortly after submitting it. Finally, your funds would be available on the following day.

Services like these payday loan are helpful to those that need to settle their finances. But of course there are several requirements to be met but generally as long as you have an monthly income of 1000, you should be alright. Always remember to pay them back though!

Touchdown

I'm now in Perth. I'm not used to life here. First thing i noticed when i arrived was how strict the immigration were. Heck i couldn't even use my handphone here till i clear the immigration. Else i'd be fined AUD1000.

It's freezing cold here since it's nearing winter. Temperature's about 11 degree celcius which is the lowest i've ever been in and was shaking while walking outside.

Anyway i met up with Jacqueline just a while ago at Royal bar together with my cousins. Head's spinning and a wee bit tipsy at the moment. I need some rest. Nite y'all.

Roarrrr!

Hello from Singapore! An hour more before i leave for Perth. I am excited! Lol.

Sayonara!

Will be flying to Australia today. Looks like my ride's here. Check in here for sporadic updates!

Colloidal Silver

Health is such an important thing. I think that when we are young we mostly take our health for granted. Just because we don't see anything wrong doesn't mean that there is nothing wrong with it. For example, like how we would continue eating fatty food even though we know it's not good for our health in the long run. Well, the effect only comes into play when you grow older. That's where the nightmare begins. Therefore health should always be a priority.

So how do you achieve optimal health? For some, eating right is sometimes not possible. So they would resort to supplements and what not. colloidal silver for example, provides minerals in trace amounts. With this, our body can use it to maintain a robust immune system.

Products from colloidal silver such as the mesosilver has no adverse side effect and non-toxic. One unique thing that it has is that it has a infinite shelf life. It has a high purity of 0.9999 and in the form of nanoparticle colloidal silver. The mesosilver also has the highest particle surface area for maximum effectiveness.

Nokia IAC Part 2

Note: Thanks to Yatz for the 2 last pics below.

If you haven't a clue what the Nokia IAC is about, check this newspaper article out. Basically, there 3 different gigs going on here. The zouk mainroom goes to the hard rockers who's just too loud for others to bear. Then there's velvet underground for those into hiphop. Finally if you're into some chilly acoustic stuff, you can sweat it out in the terrace bar cause there's no aircon there.

This was my first time being in velvet underground. I've never been in there before. I must say that it's a really nice place. I find it much comfortable than the mainroom.

When i dropped by for a look, they were having this shuffling thing i think. Bobo (of Cosmic Space Munkeys) was spinning then. He's a real friendly guy and not to mention super talented. He was also playing for the Deserters in the mainroom.

If acoustic stuff is your kinda thing, then you should've been at the terrace. Oh and did i mention they actually had music clinics from various top musicians? The time i visited the terrace, Alda Tan was doing his bass clinic. I snapped and left.

Was waiting for the next act which was Alaling. Her cheerful songs make people happy. Who needs drugs when you can get her EP which is still in progress. :P

The mainroom was the biggest venue. Unfortunately the crowd turn up wasn't the best. With so many events happening around town, it's expected i suppose. But anyhoo, those rockin' dudes really brought the house down. Check out Auburn!

Here's some shot of some random band playing. Lol.

By the way, it was Lipei's last time playing with us cause she's leaving for australia. Can't believe it's already been a year.

Nokia IAC Part 1

Last week was hectic. On top of the show in central market for one art event, we were also playing in the Nokia IAC. Ongoing that day was also the J-rock kingdom IV which i wanted to go visit.

The day started off with a sound check in Zouk. The custom amps from fat boys were 'unique'. There were knobs labelled fish and meat which i had no clue what it meant. I just tweaked till i got the sound i wanted. Right after sound check, it's off to Central Market!

The art event in central market was from a art school. I can't remember which one though. I just came and play. Let's just say not all the exhibits are for minors. :D It was just a simple acoustic set anyway. Once done, we were off to Zouk...again.

The event was free but you have to register to go in. Upon registration, you'll be wrist-tagged and chopped and you get a goodie bag from Nokia.

So what's in the goodie bag? First you have a nokia t-shirt.

Then there's a booklet about all the artists performing. And if you love them so much, you can thicken you skin and approach them and ask them for their autograph cause there's a autograph space right below each artist's description. I'm sure they won't mind. ;)

Well, the photo of the band in the booklet was an old one. I don't know why they used that one cause the guy on the far left is the old drummer. The new drummer's a brat and he's half-jap just so you know.

Then you have the handphone bag. Or whatever you call it.

I didn't expect the artist tag. I saw it while registering but i thought it was for invited artists or something. Was surprised when they handed it over to us. Definately a keepsake for me!

Unfortunately, there were no handphones in the bag. :(

Anyway, part 2 next:

It's like blahhhh

I really need a break. I thought that after my finals i'd be able to get some rest but with the stupid recording, i have to commit to it. Thanks to it, now i won't be able to go back Kuching for some time off. End up staying up the whole night just recording my part and it's not even done. In all honesty, sometimes i hate that guy.
