Bid for prize
If you can't afford to buy something that you want, try winning it. Bid4prizes offers crazy prizes. One of the featured review is a Transformers Animated iPod/mp3 speakers. Yes! A Bumblebee speaker for all those Transformers collectors. If that's not enough, some of the prizes include Apple I-Phone, HDTV, Designer bags and so on. Even if you don't fancy those, there's always cash prize to be won. You can even get yourself some free gifts if you're lucky. How bout some Sweepstake too? The game is relatively easy to play and is very user friendly. It's actually a text based reverse auction game where the lowest unique bid wins the prize. There's a new winner everyday. Sounds easy right? You should try it.

Underoath

I discovered that i've been listening to a lot of post hardcore, screamo stuff lately and the weird thing is that i'm starting to like it. It's simply a case of never say never. All the stuff that i've said i never will like is turning out the other way. Now i shall just keep my mouth shut when making unnecessary remarks.

I'm not really a fan of metal or anywhere close to it but i guess your taste changes. Heavy on my playlist is Underoath. They're one of the few Christian band that has made it big with the mainstream crowd. If you don't like loud songs, then stay away. Had i listened to them few years ago, i'd close the window straight away. I fancy their new album more than the previous. With so many lineup changes, i find that 'Define the Great Line' is one of the best album. I respect them for coming out front and professing their beliefs cause in the music scene, i find that it's hard to stick to your principles at times. Let's hope they're making a big impact with their talents and beliefs.
Cash advance
Sometimes even before the end of the month, we find ourselves struggling financially to get by the remaining days. Especially in the middle of the month when you just bought something and realized that you don't have enough left to last the month. I myself have had been through the season and it was no easy task. Some people even have it worse and have to skip meals. For those who'd been there would be able to testify that it was no pleasant experience.
That's why cash advance comes in handy at times like this. Cash advance is a small, short term loan to help you bridge the cashflow gap between pay days. With that you don't have to apply for personal loan which takes a long time and chances for approval are usually low. If you're worried about the terms and conditions or qualifications, don't be cause it's not stringent. With payday loans, the amount is deposited directly to your account overnight. You don't have to go through credit check as it goes through fast and easy approval. Security and confidentiality are ensured to protect you. Best of all is that you can do it 100% online. You can apply now easily!

Watch your post
For those of you who's interested with how i'm getting so many paid opportunities, here's a post for you. Below is a list of the websites that i subscribe to that offers these opportunities according to my preference.
1. Blogvertise
2. Payperpost (Link on sidebar)
3. Sponsored Reviews (Link on sidebar)
4. Blogitive
5. ReviewMe
To maintain a constant flow of opps to do, always keep an eye out for all these sites. Don't limit yourself to one as i did previously.
I started out with Payperpost and i stuck with it targeting those opps. Next was blogvertise and blogitive. That time, i favoured Payperpost as blogvertise depended on advertisers choosing your blog to review their product/services which translates into few opps. But now they have a 'grab bag' feature where you can choose opps available that others have rejected. Blogitive would have some opps for you but payout is small. ReviewMe is even more rare as my blog is a personal blog so chances are that it would be harder to get an opp. So far i only had one but the payout was good. :D Only recently did i joined sponsored review. It's easy as you get to bid for opps. It's then up to the advertisers to accept or decline your bid. Payout depends on how much your blog is rated.
Keep in mind that to get higher pay, you would definately need to increase your ranking and blog traffic. Have fun making money blogging!

Cute without the e
Have you ever been dumbstruck by someone of the opposite sex? Lol. When that happens, my mind goes blank and i don't know how to react. Sometimes i forget my name. I met someone today and it happened. She was cute. I don't really fancy 'hot' girls cause they just remind me of ****s. Sorry but that's just me. Cute is more of what i look for. :D Needless to say, i left without anything. hahaa damn sad.
Close combat
What many people don't know about me is that i was once a Wushu student. I've took part in contests and have won and lost. There was a sparring competition that unfortunately i lost...and that to my friend. I got second place though but i knew i could've done better. But anyway, i realized that martial arts and real life combats are worlds apart.
The truth about martial arts is that even if you're a black belt in whichever martial arts of your choice, when it comes to real life threatening situation, chances are that you would not be able to react the same way as in your training. You would need some close combat training.
Captain Chris' Close Combat was born out of that experience. While he had all the status and rank to boast about, he was as helpless as can be when he was attacked. From that experience he went on to find out what was the real answer to self defense. The answer did came and in the form of Close Combat Training system which is the world leader in self defense.

Reading tutors
*paid post*
Knowing how to read in this day and age has never been more important. No one can afford to be illiterate as it would deter your growth in a society. It is therefore crucial for a child to grow up and be able to read. Score Learning centers are there to help children from ages 4 to 14 make big academic progress in an innovative tutoring environment. They have Reading Tutors that would be able to guide them with that. Helping them at an early age is important as it will benefit them in the long run.

Don't look back!
The year's coming to an end soon and another will begin as if there were a reset button. But the reality is that, while we aspire to change, everything remains the same. There is always a desire within us to change and to become something better. That's why most of us comes up with new year's resolutions. Our motivation is that a new year is like starting all over again. I gave up making resolutions for myself few years ago cause i know what the outcome will be. The first few months were always the better months and come middle of the year, i would've forgotton half if not all of it and reaching the end, i'd realize i failed and reasoned that i might as well wait for the following year. It's an endless cycle really.
Having said that, i'm not sure of how i should react to 2008. There's gonna be plenty of changes coming my way considering my current situation and i'm wondering how it'll turn out. Then again, i need to start living one day at a time. Its hard enough as it already is without looking so far ahead. Gotta keep my head up high, smile and bring it on!

Blogroll update
Fellow friends, if there's any of your blog that i've left out on my blogroll do let me know and i'll update it. After this it's prolly gonna take me a long time before another update. Cheers!
Tickets
Event tickets sometimes are hard to get by. Especially so when it's a BIG event. But even if there's not much promotion from it, how would you know? Say if you're interested in getting some Formula 1 tickets or golf tickets, do you know where to go to? How bout some tennis tickets for Wimbledon? I know i have one friend who's going to catch one tennis match that he's always dreamt about.

For a music freak like me, i'd go for concerts instead. Having been to only to a Linkin Park concert few years back(mind you we don't get much concerts here in this country), i'm definately looking forward to the My Chemical Romance's. It's easier nowadays to get your tickets online. Like how Viagogo offers tickets for even indie bands. Considering how they're the leading ticket hub in Europe, it comes as no surprise. Among one of those band tickets you can get is 30 seconds to mars. You can view the list of cities that are included in the tour. Like how 30 seconds to mars are going from Barrowland, Glaslow to Bristol and from there to Norwich, Southampton and London. Just pick your choice of venue and click. Simple aye? Of course, they're are 100% guaranteed to be safe and secure transactions so you don't have to worry bout it. Click away and have fun over at the event!

Do not laugh
You all probably know how youtube has loads of junk stuff that makes you roll over and laugh your head off. Recently this is what i've been catching myself watching. Even though there were no translation, you don't need to understand all they're saying to get the humour. If all you need is a good laugh, then waste some of your time watching this. I tell you, you won't regret it. There's many series to it but this is one of the many. It's the first part of 18 clips. Have fun!

Roomster

*sponsored post*
Living out on your own has its good and bad. One of the biggest hassle is looking for a place to stay in. Instead of going out and searching, try going over roomster.net. Their features such as using the google maps, last member login, quick messages, quick links and IM are a huge help since there's many questions that come to mind when deciding on a location. They are easy to use and user friendly but most importantly they have a large active membership. So whatever it is you're looking for, be it an apartment sublet or roommate, roomster.net is a good place to check out.
Bad credit
For some people, their financial health is a huge problem. If left unattended, it could lead to a bigger hole in their pocket. While credit cards, loans and mortgages help provide you with the finance upfront, as consumers we needs to be wise when handling money issues and not be in the red as frustrations could lead to other areas of your life.
Therefore it is advisable to clear up the loan as quickly as possible and it should be one of the first thing you spend your money on. There is alot of 'bad credit' consumers and there is no need for you to be one of them. While there are also equally as many offers to help you in the mail, don't jump at the first offer that you see. Be wise and pick the best that suits you.
Bad credit offers allow visitors to compare dozens of bad credit offers from major providers and from there it's up to you to pick. Hopefully with this and making sure consumers make payments on time, they can rebuild their financial future.

Where is the world going?
I was checking out some postings on PPS few days ago and i stumbled upon a blog that had a very interesting topic and had generated quite a few hate comments. Apparently that post was taken down. Poor thing.
Anyway, the whole thing was about her breaking up with her "almost fiancee". The guy wanted her to foot half of their wedding dinner cost but for her, she believed that guys should be the one that should pay for majority of it.
From what i read, both were at fault and i'm not going to elaborate on it. But what really struck me was how deep our beliefs can influence our thoughts on what is right and wrong like how each of them believed something that contradict each other. Is it possible that they could have come to a better solution? That said, even reading through it, it made me feel weary especially how relationship is always something that needs to grow. But for most guys, the efforts are only visible during the courtship. Once he's got you, almost all the romance is gone out the door. It's the sad truth.

Bathroom wish
Which section of your home do you think is one of the most important one? For me, i'd have to say bathroom. I've always wanted my bathroom to be like the ones in the hotel and far from the conventional one. Of course that would cost a wee bit more but it looks great. My shower valve must be elaborate and so shiny you can see your own reflection. Same goes for the taps as well. Bathroom furnitures must be suited with the whole bathroom look.
I think it'll be great if all those can have a unique look to it. Like a totally new design or something like that and everyone who's taken a look would comment how awesome it is. Like how some restaurants nowadays have really unique taps. There's always an online bathroom shop that you can check out.

MYHC fest
Anyone interested to go for this gig? I've been wanting to catch Love Me Butch live but never had the chance so this is one of the rare chances that i get. I'm planning to go but so far none of my friends are going. If you're interested do let me know. Maybe we can go together. 3 weeks more to MCR's concert! Woot!
Something brewing in Ireland
Ireland reminds me of the story of the leprechaun and the pot of gold. That's the first thing that comes to mind when Ireland is mentioned. Not to mention St Patrick's day is celebrated widely here. But beyond the myths, there is more to discover in this land.
Dublin itself has many attractions such as the Guiness Sorehouse, Kilmainham Gaol and the Dublin Castle. From any Dublin hotels, Guiness lovers could visit their Sorehouse to see their dramatic histories in their 250 years of history. The Kilmainham Gaol is Europe's largest disused and Ireland's most famous prison where leaders of the 1916 Rebellion were executed there by the English. The Dublin Castle is the centre of the English oppression and misrule in Ireland for 700 years! Imagine if our country were in that turmoil for 700 years.
Among some of the attractions in Cardiff is the Cardiff castle. Standing tall is the flamboyant Victorian clock tower and the interiors are extraordinarily ornate gilded. The Millenium Stadium in Cardiff is the best rugby stadium in the world and is host to many world events. The Llandaff Cathedral takes its name from the River Taff. There is a full programme of services, concerts and events throughout the week and is open to visitors. Check into any Cardiff hotels and travel around.
Newcastle is a name familiar to many soccer enthusiasts. Vist the St James Park where it is the home of the Newcastle United Football Club and is a must visit for all fans who are staying in newcastle hotels. The Quayside is a cultural and art centre from a previously entire area of docks. In this city known for its bridges, they have many other bridges that have created history and was at the forefront of technology at that time.
After checking in to any leeds hotels, try going to the Royal Armouries Museum and witness the medieval armours and weapons. The Temple Newsam features a farm house with many rare farm animals. Thackray Medical Museum exhibits medical and surgical methods from the 19th century up till today.

Stainless steel
People no longer are just satisfied with just steel. Now they want stainless steel as they are more durable and have anti-rust properties. They make the perfect items for your house. For example, the Blomus stainless steel mailboxes would be perfect for outdoor condition be it sunshine, rain or snow. The stainless steel mailbox would indeed come in handy considering how harsh the environment these days can be.
Other great items include the blomus stainless steel fireplace accessories. Under such heat from the flame, you need something that can withstand it. That's why you need stainless steel fireplace accessories. Plus it looks exquisite and shiny. Perfect to decorate your house.

Another boston episode
I never knew what they were singing about till i found it.
Typecast - Boston Drama
Standard pick-up lines that seems to wreck your bones
Can this be a sequel of my dying hope?
Chasing down a never ending make-believe
But you're a perfect match of consistency
Will you come back in a heartbeat?
Don't be confused of what a great thing we could be
We'll take a walk on the same street
Can you tell me how Boston is like without me?
You're image is stamp beneath the insides of my heart
Now you're gone I don't know where to start
The evidence is showing like a stable apprehension
But you're the only one who's apt for this affection

Picture Perfect
I hate writing songs. Cause i never seem to finish them off once i start. I'm just too lazy to work on it once i stopped. Or i have no idea where to go from there. Sigh. Once a song is born unto me, it dies as soon as i put down my pen. Only a few survive hahaa. I just stopped for the newest one and i hope i can finish it up cause i really like this one. *fingers crossed*

Malaysian idiot
Can you believe what our stupid minister has to say on al-Jazeera. He kept on rambling bout opposition, Pakistan, Burma and kept blaming the station and journalist for showing more than what actually happend. Then let me ask him something. How does he know what exactly happened when he wasn't even there to begin with. All the information he got was second hand information whereas the al-Jazeera correspondant was in heat of things when it happened. Who would you believe more? Had they not been there to record it, the minister would have completely spun the whole thing around. He even congratulated the journalist for behaving like an actor.
Not only did he kept rambling, i believe he was trying to dogde the questions aimed at him by refusing to let the interviewer to speak. How unprofessional and indeed a disgrace to Malaysians. Then he proceeded to ask why interview someone from opposition to ask for their view and not someone from government. What the heck are they interviewing him for then? Even so, they got their own media what. Just put it up there. Spin the stories around like you always do!
He can't even speak properly. He sounded panicky too and he was cut off abruptly. I think all those ministers should stop deluding themselves that Malaysia is democratic with the current state of affair. It's no different from the other undemocratic country. Here's the clip. *sigh*

Bonjour
I took up French lessons in the past semester hoping to learn abit of the language and culture. I must say that 3 months were too short a time to learn to even make conversations. France has always been one of the countries that i've been wanting to go. Looking up hotels in France shouldn't be a problem.
Shopping over in France must be a surreal experience since France is known as one of the top shopping destination in the world. Maybe you don't have the budget but that doesn't stop you from checking out their stores does it. Of course the main attraction will always be Paris. With big names of the fashion scene born and bred there, you're spoilt for choice. Not forgetting the paris fashion week. Maybe you should start thinking about booking a room among the hotels in Paris.
French dining provides you with a exquisite taste for your gastronomical experience. And that goes with their wines as well. Enjoy genuine French food prepared by top chefs. Who can miss out on their local favourite food, the escargot(snails).

There's nice beaches around in France too. Also, Nice is a nice place to visit. So start looking up nice hotels.

Bersih Rally
Al-Jazeera had a coverage on today's rally. I wouldn't be surprised if the government starts spinning the story on how it got out of hand yada yada yada and next time it would come down harder on those involved. There was no brutality towards the police so why use water canons and teargas? Maybe they got no other chance to use it and it was the perfect opportunity.
Here's the clip:

Promotions
Online shopping is fast becoming a trend. Who could blame them? It's fast, simple, saves you some money and can get you items not found in certain places in the world. There are many websites offering such service for promotional products.
All those promotional items are easy to find with just a click of the button. You can always compare prices and find the lowest. Such convenience is trully god-sent. The items are even categorized to ensure your smooth shopping experience online.
If you're thinking of corporate gifts, there's always items listed that you can find. Almost everything is there and all you have to do is find the perfect one and click away.

As expected, the gathering today has become dramatic. Water canons, teargases and whatnot have been deployed and that without warning. Why are the police so hard on a peaceful gathering. It's not like they're out to overthrow the government. They just want a fair and free election. Why is the government so afraid of that? They should instead support that if they're so gung-ho about fighting corruption.
By the way, there is no mention of today's event as there has been a media blackout and if you were just reading the papers, everything seems fine and all good. Go out and you'll see the reality of the situation. Even there was a report on traffic jams but no mention of the event and it ended by stating the reason for roadblock was for security check. Even one article mentioned they will publish selected comments from Lim Kit Siang's blog on RTM's website to show whether he himself practice journalism ethics. Check it here. This is absurb. Why are they taking other people's comment to blame them for? I'm sure they will ask their cybertroopers to comment stupid things there and then they will use it against him. It doesn't make any sense at all. And using RTM at that. Why can't they stay out of everything. Must they involve politics in everything? How stupid can they get?
Anyway, i'm just afraid that things today might get ugly especially with those police making the moves first and knowing how they would not hold back. I just hope it would turn go without any accidents. From the updates i've read, about 40,000 people were stopped by 150 FRU personnel at Istana Negara. Updates here. That's a freaking load of people. There are thousands of people gathering elsewhere as well. Roads are blocked and this is like a massive scene from a movie. Looks like this is gonna go down in history.
So much for going out today.

Gift cards
Sometimes when you're stuck thinking of what to get for friends or family, the best way i would recommend is to get giftcards instead. That way you won't have to worry about deciding what to get and whether the recipient would like it or not. We're always thinking about what if they don't like our gifts or stuff like that but with shopping gift cards, you can be sure they're bound to find something to their liking since they will be the one choosing them.
This puts all our worries aside. Besides, you can easily buy gift cards online nowadays. Just with a click of a button, all transactions are a cinch. Some would send it over the email and all they have to do is print them out and they're off shopping. Easy eh?

Piece of mind
I just found out band's playing in a mini showcase this january. I must say that with this break until next year, i feel refreshed. Don't have to clutter my mind with all the practices. If you think playing in gigs every week is fun, think twice. And the most hectic schedule that i've played in was in only one month where we had shows every week. I mean it's fun when you're on stage but its a tiring process going practice after practice. I can't imagine those full time bands playing everyday.
Having said that, i think we need to do some pre-production before hiting the studios or we'll just be wasting our time. I wonder how things'll turn out next year. hmmm...

Berlin Vienna
Berlin is the capital of Germany. For most people, they wouldn't have a clue on what Berlin has to offer. First up of course is to look for hotels in Berlin. Once you've made your choice of hotels in Berlin, you're all set! When it comes to culture, you can be sure there's much to enjoy from these Germans. There's a place in Berlin called the Berlin Museum Island located in the heart of the city and is listed as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO. It houses no less than 5 major exhibition buildings. It has combinations of unique archaeological collections and 19th century art. If you're into music, try the Berlin Philharmonic.
Vienna, capital of Austria is one of the preferred places to visit in the world. Known for its histories of musical achievements with names like Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn who had lived and worked there. Even the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the world's best as well as its Boy's Choir. Museums and galleries are in abundance and there's probably too many for you to go to. So better look out for hotels in Vienna now. Once you're done with the bookings for any hotels in Vienna, go out and discover the richness of the country filled with culture and history.
Both have almost equal attractions to garner your interest. Choose wisely now or you can always visit both!

Shopping
It's going to be holiday season again as we wrap up the year. Christmas coming and there's bound to be lots of gifts to be bought for your family and friends. If you're like me, it's always this part that's the most frustrating. Most of the time, i have no idea what to get for them. Of course, there's the issue of budget with so many gifts to buy.
But if you're interested to get something for a guy, you can never go wrong with gadgets! Men just love gadgets. We're talking about electronic digitized items. It's the safest bet when it comes to gifts for him but then it comes with a high cost. So if you can't afford, maybe something that has to do with his hobbies would do.
Gifts for kids are easier. It's all about toys. Think transformers, barbies and the likes. Generally those are enough to get them excited about Christmas. As for me, i'd like a new guitar! hehe

Love me butch
Of all the local bands that i've heard, there's none that can be compared to Love me butch. For me, i feel that they are the ones that sets the standard for the local music industry. Not just the music, but recording wise as well as video. There's no room for mediocrity and it shows in everything that they do. It's no wonder they can grow beyond most local bands. With tours in various countries in Asia, they still continue to win fans over.
I was looking all over for their 2nd album titled This is the new pop few years back. I remembered going shop after shop but they sold out. With a stroke of luck, i found it back in my hometown! Up to this day i'm still listening to their songs. The only regret i have is that i never got to see them live.
They came up with a new song recently in which they collaborated with Chicosci from Phillipines. It's called 'This is our year'. You can listen to it here. Awesome song. No more angst from before though and it sounds happier. I can't wait for their new album. They're currently doing pre-production and will hit the studios by December.

Hawaii Estate
Ever thought of having your own property in paradise? Big mansion by the beach. Waking up to waves crashing and witnessing the rising and setting of the sun sipping some chilled juice. Maybe you'd like to throw in some hula dancers as well to spice things up a bit. If you're interested in Hawaii real estate, you can always try looking for properties there that might interest you.
Or maybe somewhere else like Oahu might tickle your fancy. Oahu real estate are also a favourite of many others as is Kauai real estate. The pristine beaches are what everyone dreams of as they leave the hectic lifestyles of the city for a season of relaxation. What else can you ask for?

I GOT MY TICKET!!!!!!!!!
Actually i got it yesterday even though i fell sick. Now i'm a step closer to seeing one of my favourite band LIVE! But i feel that the promotion for this wasn't as big as i expected and i have no idea why. I would expect a full blown promotion everywhere but even the ticket booth was kinda hidden. And all those buying the tickets are those goth kids! Maybe i should put on some eye shadow and paint my nails black before i go. Oh i can't wait!!!

Anyone else going? Please let me know so we can go together-gether.
