Hobbies related to arts and crafts often times take a lot of practise in order to improve. While pottery from ceramic arts probably isn't the most taken up hobby by most people, it does have its share of fans and those are the people who enjoy getting their hands dirty to create their own masterpieces from clays.
As with other hobbies, it takes a lot of patience and practises to probably get things right and not forgetting the tools needed for it. For example, if you're working with polymer clay, you'll need to have a polymer clay and craft oven as well as modeling tools. Then you might want to consider getting a clay potter wheel. Being the first company to produce lead-free glazes, AMACO/Brent now offers a whole extensive range of it so expect varieties to spice up your creation.
Also, there is a National Potter Exhibit and Conference coming up which is hosted by the company as well so expect loads of technique exploration!
