Work and play!
Shit!
I googled and found this article.
I think it's about time man. It sucks being a citizen of Malaysia when there's so many things you can't do compared to other countries!
I'm not that young and 5 years more and i would've lost the privilege to do that.
If they give the green lights for it, i'll quit whatever job i have and fly over!

Vote for us on Campur Chart!
Lol. I just realized we're on campur chart on fly fm. Apparently we debuted at no. 7 on 28th September 08 and has remained in the same spot till now. It feels weird seeing your own band on some chart.
And apparently we've had ppl telling us they're also playing our song on fly fm occasionally. I'm not sure cause i don't listen to the radio so it's all good if that turns out to be true.
So do vote for us. You can do it here. Just click on the vote link and go through the instructions. It'd be silly if i were to vote for my own band. You can listen to the previous broadcasts as well if you're interested. For those who missed the our interview on fly fm, it can be heard here.
I think campur chart is a good idea. I actually got to know few bands whose music i really enjoyed. If it wasn't for them, i guess i wouldn't have the chance to check them out. So do give it a chance. Ciao!
P/s: Damn i'm really digging Bo's 'once again'. I've first met him at the nokia's IAC showcase when we were playing on the same stage. You can't miss his afro hair-do and he's a real nice and funny guy.

Stop this train please
While i may not look like it, i'm actually 24 this year. that's almost a quarter century old and many might argue that it's still young, the funny thing is that i don't feel that young anymore. Instead, i feel like i'm losing the luxury of time and i'm racing towards what i wanna do. I wish time stopped at 21 for me but i guess there's no point in doing so.
Strangely in that last few moment, i think i finally figured out what i wanna do but that's to come in the next few years. For this coming season, my plan is to prepare for that time and while men proposes, God disposes so as much as i would like for it to go smoothly, who knows what lies ahead. Not to mention how i'm gonna get there but hopefully in time, the answer will present itself.
Where i stand right now reminds me of John Mayer's song which i loved so much - Stop this train.

No, I'm not colorblind
I know the world is black and white
Try to keep an open mind
But I just can't sleep on this tonight
Stop this train
I wanna get off
And go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
But honestly, won't someone stop this train?
Don't know how else to say it
Don't want to see my parents go
One generation's length away
From fighting life out on my own
Stop this train
I wanna get off
And go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
But honestly, won't someone stop this train?
So scared of getting older
I'm only good at being young
So I play the numbers game
To find a way to say that life has just begun
Had a talk with my old man
Said "help me understand"
He said "turn sixty-eight
You renegotiate"
"Don't stop this train
Don't for a minute change the place you're in
And don't think I couldn't ever understand
I tried my hand
John, honestly we'll never stop this train"
Once in awhile, when it's good
It'll feel like it should
And they're all still around
And you're still safe and sound
And you don't miss a thing
Till you cry when you're driving away in the dark
Singing
Stop this train
I wanna get off
And go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can
Cause now I see I'll never stop this train

Singapore Part 1
For those who didn't know, we were down in Singapore for a gig over at Esplanade on 3rd Oct. This was the first time playing in Singapore and i didn't expect it to come so early but it's all good. The gig was organized by Aging Youth Production and the event went for 3 days with bands from Malaysia. We were the first band to kick start the whole thing on Friday evening.
Being the Raya holidays, the road heading down to Singapore was super quiet and we departed on Thursday. After much delay, we finally took off at around 7pm. With several ciggie breaks for the other 2 member, we finally arrived in Singapore around 12am but we got lost while trying to find our hotel cause we had no idea how to get there.
Of all the places, our friend went and booked a hotel over at Geylang. This was the first time i've ever really been to Geylang. All the other times i was in Singapore, it was always the nicer side of things but this time, i saw the sleazy side of it.
I'm sure you've heard a lot about Geylang and if anything, it only served to remind me why it's called the red light district of Spore. When we finally found our way there, we realized that our hotel which was called Fragrance had a lot of other buildings around. After that i kinda realized it was some sort of love hotel. Lol. In Geylang itself, there was one in almost every street. No joke.

To get there, we had to turn in at some lorong, which was choke full of prostitutes! They're all by the side of the road trying to drag customers. Almost every lorong had them and some would be in a line for you to choose. The thing about them is that they're super hot. Most of them actually and if you were to spot them in town, you'd never know they were prostitutes. Sorry but no pics of them cause i'll probably get bashed up by the pimp for doing so. I've heard a lot of violent stories about them so yeah, just forget about it.
Anyway, we went straight to the room and it's the smallest hotel room i've ever been to and for the 4 of us in a room, it was cramped to the max.

So after putting down our stuff, we went off in search for supper. Found a food court and the whole place felt like it was just 9pm and the streets sure was lively. After eating we decided to walk through the lorongs.
Sure enough, the girls were trying to pull you and grab your hand. Lol. Our drummer was underaged and i guess he was scared so he stayed in the room. Just walking through those streets really didn't really make me feel safe. After sight-seeing, we headed up to our room. Was so tired and went to bed. That night i couldn't get a wink of sleep. It was uncomfortable and our drummer was loudly snoring and moving around in his sleep.

On the line
Not even 3 hours after i sent my resume, i got a call for an interview. I feel it's going so fast and it scares me. I haven't even prepared anything and i just sent it in on a whim. Heck i don't even remember which post i applied for. Not to mention how cold the person on the line was.
Hopefully it'll all go well tomorrow.

Home
Got back on Sunday early morning and slept through the day as we started our journey back in the middle of the night. It sure was a tiring trip and i didn't get any sleep at all for the 2 nights there. Guess i'll do an update of it another day.

Selamat Hari Raya!
Wishing all Malaysians a Selamat Hari Raya regardless of whether you're celebrating or not.
What a day to get sick when i'm gonna meet up with some old school friends. Not to mention how i miss all those rendangs when i follow my mum visiting her colleagues and friends back in kuching. I think for all those rayas since i started my life in KL, i've been here and haven't gone back at all.
That said, i really miss home.
Anyway, have a great holiday people. I'll be going down Singapore for a show on Thursday night (show's on Friday starts at 7.30pm at Esplanade) and should be returning on either Saturday or Sunday. Check the flyer below.
